Why Does Chick-fil-A Chicken Taste So Good?

You may disagree, but we think that Chick-fil-A has the best tasting chicken hands down. We never feel bloated or too full after eating it even though its fast food. So we wondered what is the magical formula that Chick-fil-A is using in their recipe. 

 

Turns out that all Chick-fil-A chicken is cooked with peanut oil. The chain pressure cooks their chicken breasts which not only cooks food faster and saves energy, but also helps retain more of the nutrients. Pressure cooking can also remove many of the toxins trapped in food since the high pressure levels can kill more bacteria than boiling or baking can. 

 

The chain uses peanut oil for cooking because it is mild tasting and doesn't add any unintended flavor to the food, meaning the natural taste and intended flavors can shine through. Peanut oil is a popular cooking oil for frying and is the most commonly used cooking oil in Asian cuisine. 

 

Though it's great for taste, peanut oil does have some drawbacks. It is high in Omega 6 fatty acids, which is normally good for you but in high doses can cause inflammation. If you are just eating fast food occasionally, such as on a cheat day, then Chick-fil-A chicken might be your safest bet health wise.
