39% of Your Coworkers Masturbate at the Office

January 19, 2019

According to a recent survey by Time Out New York, 39 % of office workers admit to masturbating in the office bathroom — a slight increase from the 31 per cent of men that admitted to it in 2012.

It's not just men who need a little alone time at work - men and women, gay or straight, all admitted to some self-love in their workplace stall for various reasons.

"If I'm really hungover at work, masturbating helps me feel better," one masturbator told Time Out while one female admitted "I'm just a horny lady."

Though it might sound a little gross, masturbating at work might actually be a good thing for both employees and employers. Researchers at the University of Michigan say that regular masturbation boosts endorphins and lowers the stress hormone cortisol. That might mean more productivity in the long run. Women who frequently masturbate have higher self-confidence than those who are too shy to practice self-pleasure.

Senior lecturer in psychology at Nottingham Trent University Mark Sergeant suggests workers should take masturbation breaks as a motivational reward for completing a long list of to-dos, What do you think? Is masturbating at work a good idea?
