5 Easy Energy Boosting Smoothies

My boyfriend comes snuggling up to me with a "Good Morning Sunshine!!!" every Saturday. He is a morning person, but for me and many others, it's a struggle to crawl out of bed almost every morning. Maybe it's lack of sleep, over training, or depression - but lack of energy in the morning is a real problem.

Most of us reach for a cup of coffee or tea for a quick caffeine boost to get a jump start on our day. Have you ever thought about starting your day off with an all natural, non-caffeinated jolt? It's a hard habit to break, but as much as I love coffee, there is a far better method of staying awake and energetic than knocking back all those dehydrating coffees.

Smoothies are a great alternative in the morning: smoothies are more nourishing and rejuvenating - live nutrients and enzymes in juices and smoothies feed every cell in your body, while liquids from the fruits keep you hydrated. A breakfast smoothie can help replenish those energy reserves, and provide protein, fiber, and vitamins to get you through the day.

Here are my 5 all time favorite smoothies for ENERGY that are as good for you as they are delicious and can be enjoyed as either a wake-up tonic or an afternoon refresher. Of course, if you do fancy a coffee in the morning, why not visit the experts at Ancient + Brave to treat yourself to coffee that’s created using advanced nutritional formulas, designed to help you look and feel you’re best.
