Review: Billy Jealousy Shampoo

Like most guys out there, my hair started thinning out as I got older. I'm not bald, but I don't want to be either. They say prevention is the best medicine and that's why I stared looking at ways of preventing hair loss. After researching online, a lot of men's grooming sites talked about how hair needs to be healthy so it made sense to me to start at the roots, literally. I searched Amazon looking for a good men's shampoo to replace the cheap stuff I had in the shower.

Billy Jealousy Fuzzy Logic Hair Strengthening Shampoo was expensive at $22 a bottle, but I figured hell I will give it a try. It was a big mistake. It should be renamed Billy Lousy. First off, the shampoo is very minty smelling and feels tingly on the scalp. That's cool at first, but after a few days my scalp was irritated and hurt. The shampoo seemed to separate as well, so when I squirted some out it would be a glob surrounded my water. Not what you expect from an expensive shampoo.

The shampoo claims the following:

Protect yourself with Fuzzy Logic, an advanced peppermint shampoo formula fortified with DHT blocking agents, fighting hair loss at its roots. Dissolves sebum and other buildup on scalp and hair, cleans pores and stimulates circulation.

After going through a whole bottle of the stuff, my hair was more dry and brittle than ever. My scalp was itchy and because my hair was so dry, more of it broke off and it seemed like my hair got thinner. Maybe in time my hair quality would have improved, but I didn't want to go bald waiting to find out. Avoid this shampoo guys.
