Is Qasem Soleimani Still Alive?

January 7, 2020

As we are sure you are aware, Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani was killed by a targeted U.S. drone strike on January 3rd, 2020. President Trump defended the strike by stating that the Iranain commander of the Quds Force was planning "imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel".

The hit took place at Baghdad International airport and left the generals body in pretty bad shape. In fact, the body was left dismembered and severely burned or charred. and would have been otherwise unrecognizable if not for a distinctive piece of jewelry the general was known to wear: a large red ring. Warning: things get graphic below.

The ring that Soleimani was frequently seen wearing was identified by jewelers in a New York Post article as either a red carnelian stone — believed by some Middle East Muslims as able to bestow “blessings”– or possibly an inexpensive ruby that would cost a few hundred bucks. That same ring (or one very similar) is pictured in a photo of the deceased body.

A senior politician said Soleimani’s body was identified by the ring he wore, and a couple of images of the body and bloody, possibly severed, hand were released to prove the Generals death. Which is why some have already began to speculate on the death, wondering if Soleimani is even dead. Why is the hand pictured in grass while the rest of the body rests on concrete with no grass in sight?

If it thrown that far from the body, it doesn't seem to match the disfigured hand on the remains. It seems that at the minimum, this is a staged photo - similar to what occurred during the American Civil War where bodies were moved and arranged for better photographic composition.

Then we have the above photo that has circulated of another severed hand. We do know that Qasem Soleimani was not the only person killed in the strike, but the authenticity of the photos is staring to look suspect. A close up look at the body below shows a wired device coming off of the corpse and laying on the ground. Could this be a communications device of some sort? Or is this some sort of detonation device and the photos that we are seeing are some sort of suicide bomber unrelated to the January 3rd strike?

The possibility that Qasem Soleimani is alive and being interrogated, possibly even being held in Israel for questioning sounds far fetched, but there are still questions related to the deal which Obama provided Iran which included $50 billion (possibly more) in sanctions relief. Was it payoff money to keep the secret about Benghazi arms running to ISIS? If so, it would make sense that Trump and the CIA would want to interrogate Soleimani for more information about Trumps political rivals.

Then we have the following photo which has been circulated showing the body of Soleimani as it is being transported, probably for his funeral. It looks a lot like Hossein Hamadani, who was an Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander who served in Syria as both an advisor to the Syrian army during the Syrian Civil War and as overseer for Quds Force operations in support of the Syrian government. Hamadani was posthumously promoted to a Major General after his death on October 7, 2015.

While we doubt this conspiracy has any weight, we have to admit the photographic evidence raises several questions. We will be sure to keep tabs on any new information that develops. After all, there is plenty of evidence suggesting that Osama Bin Laden may have died before the May 2, 2011 covert operation under the Obama administration.
