A 65 year old man died after suffering a heart attack during a penis enlargement operation. The man, Ehud Arye Laniado, was a billionaire diamond trader who had flown to a private clinic in Paris for the operation. During the operation a substance was injected into his penis which led to the fatal heart attack.
Laniado was the owner of Omega Diamonds, based in the Belgian city of Antwerp, and one of the worlds leading experts at valuing raw diamonds. Omega sold the world's most expensive diamond, called the Blue Moon of Josephine, to Hong Kong businessman and convicted felon Joseph Lau Luen Hung for $48.4 million in 2015.
A statement from the firm confirmed his passing : 'Farewell to a visionary businessman. It is with great sadness that we confirm that our founder Ehud Arye Laniado has passed away.' The body will be returned to Israel for burial.
Friends, who chose to remain anonymous, remembered Laniado as a vain man focused on on his appearance. One friend commented that the only time he didn't obsess over his short stature was when he was reading his bank statements - which he did multiple times a day.
The billionaire owned several homes and was known to party with celebrities while drinking bottles of Chateau Margaux with models. They say go big or go home, and that's just what this guy did. Except he is going home ... because he died. But when you're stupid rich, you do stupid rich stuff. So for that, we applaud the man for living life to its fullest. But what do you think?
If you won the Powerball, would you consider penis enlargement surgery?
