Stanton Friedman says goodbye to Ufology

March 17, 2018

Tomorrow, on March 18th, 2018, longtime UFO researcher Stanton Friedman is retiring from the world of Ufology. Friedman says in an interview "I'm turning 84 in July" suggesting it's time to pursue other hobbies - though it's unknown if that means golfing or more concrete subjects outside of UFO's and Aliens.

He has always maintained that we are not alone in the universe, and gave his first lecture on Unidentified Flying Objects in 1967. "That's a longtime." The former nuclear physicist began lecturing about UFO's while doing engineering consulting work,  and in 1970 left his full-time job as a physicist to pursue the scientific investigation of UFO's.

Since then he has given lectures at more than 600 colleges and to more than 100 professional groups in all 50 states, and traveled the world speaking about his belief in the existence of alien life, he also maintained a monthly column in the MUFON (The Mutual UFO Network) journal.

Stanton Friedman was the original civilian investigator of the Roswell incident, and has held firm in his belief that it was a genuine crash of an extraterrestrial origin.

“One of my last events will be the Roswell International UFO Museum Festival in July in Roswell, New Mexico,” Friedman said he will be giving several lectures at the event, which last year attracted 9,000 visitors for the weekend UFO festival. Retirement doesn’t mean he won’t be thinking about UFOs, "I'll look at the internet, but enough is enough."
